Dr. Patel has been practicing podiatry in Norwalk since 1996. Dr. Patel and his staff provide comprehensive and quality care for all of your foot care needs. Dr. Patel graduated from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in 1989 with a Bachelor of Sciences in Molecular Biology. From there he went to medical school at the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated Magna Cum Laude. This college along with the Chicago Medical School is now part of the Rosalind Franklin Medicine and Science. He has had extensive training in Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery at St. John Hospital- North Shores outside of Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Patel was board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in 1998 and has achieved recertification in 2006. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is also certified in Cryotherapy and Osteotripsey procedures that are utilized in the treatment of various conditions including heel spurs, plantar fasciitis, tendonitis and neuroma. He is also a member various medical societies including: American Podiatric Medicine Association, Connecticut Podiatric Medical Association, Fairfield County Podiatric Medical Association and the Norwalk Medical Society. Dr. Patel has served as an officer in the FCPMA. Dr. Patel is currently on staff at Norwalk Hospital and its surgery center, HealthSouth
Surgery Center in Bridgeport, and Waveny Care Center. He continues to maintain the
newest techniques in surgery and treatment of foot conditions through extensive
continuing medical education. Dr. Patel is also active in teaching. He is a member of the
National Board of Podiatric Medical Examiners and reviews journal submissions of the Dr. Patel and his wife, Marie, are active in the community. They have 2 boys, Wesley and Mitchell. They enjoy playing various sports including baseball, soccer, swimming and golf. The office staff is courteous, skilled and caring. Their objective is to make your foot care free from anxiety and help you feel comfortable. Dr Babigian graduated from Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont in 1986 with a Bachelor of Sciences in Biology. After time in the service he went to medical school at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He received the Raymond K. Locke award at graduation for excellence in the field of rheumatology. Dr Babigian was selected for a two year surgical residency at Kennedy Memorial Hospital, the major teaching affiliate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. During his training he received extensive experience in foot surgery and reconstruction techniques. Dr Babigian was initially board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine in 1998. This was followed by additional certification by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in 2001 making Dr Babigian double board certified. Additionally, he is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and American College of Foot Orthopedics and Medicine. He is member of podiatric professional medical societies including the American Podiatric Medical Society, Connecticut Podiatric Medical Association and the Fairfield County Podiatric Medical Association. Dr Babigian will be getting hospital privileges at Norwalk Hospital and it’s affiliates. Dr Babigian maintains at the cutting edge of his profession by participating in continuing medical education. This is maintained in Norwalk by attending lectures both in New England as well as the metro New York City area. Dr Babigian and his wife, Kristin, enjoy living in Fairfield County. His treatment goals are to meet the educational needs of his patients in both a competent and supportive manner.
